{"id":5791,"date":"2016-09-16T13:45:08","date_gmt":"2016-09-16T11:45:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scandibureau.com.cust.shrd.fr\/2016\/09\/16\/moomins-in-asterix-land\/"},"modified":"2021-05-27T15:31:09","modified_gmt":"2021-05-27T13:31:09","slug":"moomins-in-asterix-land","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scandibureau.com\/sv\/2016\/09\/moomins-in-asterix-land\/","title":{"rendered":"Moomins in Asterix Land"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>On Thursday, September 07th, The Finnish junior chamber of commerce was pleased to welcome Charlotte Loyau-Kahn as seminar speaker on the topic of intercultural differences in business between French and Finnish.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>An interactive discussion<\/h3>\n<div>The purpose of the seminar was to review main differences and cultural challenges Finnish face\u00a0when they try to integrate the French business world.<\/div>\n<div>Charlotte\u2019s speech was followed by a dynamic and interactive discussion where all seminar participants had the opportunity to exchange their experiences.<\/div>\n<div>The discussion revolved around various issues such as: the existence of different hierarchical distances, both countries different way to negotiate, the individual\u2019s place and role in the group, the work balance, the perception of time and different insight of conflict in Finland vs France.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Having the audience involved made the seminar more interesting and added a peer learning dimension. Everyone found it helpful and relieving to interact with each other and share their own thoughts.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<h3>Charlotte\u2019s tips for a successful relationship<\/h3>\n<div>\u201c\u2026Finnish should not underestimate themselves.
